Golden Age of Malacca 1400 AD - 1511 AD
The Hindu kingdoms of peninsular Malaysia were shadowed by the neighbouring kingdoms in Cambodia and Indonesia until the 15th century. Srivijaya was the strongest kingdom among of them and the first great maritime kingdom in the Malay archipelago. Based on the records of Indian, Arabs and Chinese traders it was known as the best trading port in the region. The influence of the Srivijaya kingdom start decline as the other entrepots merged at around 13th century. The lost in the centralpower and the nuisances of pirates were haunting the entreports.
